Tech Hub Finland to open Tampere innovation hub linking startups with manufacturers

Tech Hub Finland will officially launch in Tampere on 29 September 2026, establishing a national innovation network designed to accelerate industrial renewal and connect startups directly with manufacturing customers.

The move follows Business Tampere's decision in June to select Plug and Play to operate a new Tampere innovation hub and global startup accelerator announced in June.

Backed by Normet, Sandvik, Plug and Play and the City of Tampere, the hub aims to break down siloed R&D. It will give Finnish industry faster access to new technologies and international partners.

Plug and Play's global platform provides access to more than 100,000 startups and 550 corporate partners, enabling manufacturers to pilot solutions in months rather than years.

The opening event will gather companies, investors, research organisations and public-sector representatives. It will mark the official start of the hub's long-term innovation activities.
