Topi Borg Launches His Own Film Talk Show on Yle Areena

Topi Borg, named the 2025 Tampere Citizen of the Year, will host his own TV program on Yle Areena starting April 6, Tamperelainen writes

The ten-episode video podcast will have Borg and a guest watching one film per episode and discussing it and life in general. The first season features guests from music, politics, and acting, including Tarja Halonen, Jasper Pääkkönen, Erika Vikman, and Johannes Brotherus, with additional participants such as Sointu Borg, Jukka Hildén, Fathi Ahmed, Zaida Bergroth, Ona Huczkowski, and Pihla Viitala.

Borg says the project is a dream come true after having watched nearly 12,000 films, and he plans to curate each episode around a single film chosen for the guest. He emphasizes that the conversations will be timeless and universal, with no focus on current events or social media, and that every guest is valued regardless of titles.
