Two Tampere confirmation camp tracks to offer daily saunas in 2027

Young people will be able to use a sauna every day on two new confirmation camp tracks in Tampere next year. The city's Evangelical Lutheran parishes have opened registration for their 2027 camps and, for the first time, will offer two daily-sauna tracks.

Harju parish youth influencer René Skogberg says the sauna tracks respond to requests raised by young people during joint meetings, and Southern parish youth backed the idea. One track will run in January at the Aito Centre in Aitolahti, and the other will be a summer camp at the Rajala camp centre in Kuru. Other options include an archipelago track that sails the Archipelago Sea on a traditional sailing ship and sleeps in different harbours.

Registration runs 14–29 September on the Tampere confirmation camps website. Places are allocated after the deadline. Application order does not affect admission, and applicants will be informed of their camp placements in November.
