Valokuitunen and Elisa to Roll Out High-Speed Fiber in Five Tampere Neighbourhoods
City permits approved this week allow Valokuitunen and Elisa to install new fiber infrastructure in five Tampere neighbourhoods, enabling high-speed connections for homes and businesses.
City permits approved this week will allow new fiber networks and street distribution cabinets to be installed in several Tampere districts, Tamperelainen reported.
Valokuitunen Oy will extend its fiber network in Kaukajärvi (Haiharankatu–Isolammenkatu), Itä-Hervanta and Holvasti. Elisa Oyj received permission to install distribution cabinets and lay fiber in Ylä-Pispala and Santalahti.
Officials say the approvals will enable construction of high-speed connections to homes and businesses. Residents should see improved bandwidth and more stable connections once installation work begins.
