Vuonna 85 Reunion Moves to TTT Main Stage

Tampereen Työväen Teatteri (TTT) announced that Vuonna 85 Reunion moves to its Main Stage for seven performances between 10 November and 29 December 2026, with tickets on sale from 6 May at 10:00.

The production premiered on 5 December 2025 on the 400-seat Eino Salmelainen stage. It sold out every show. Across 17 performances it drew roughly 6,600 spectators.

The Main Stage seats more than 800, roughly doubling per-performance capacity and accommodating about 5,700 people for the autumn run. The shift follows record-speed ticket sales for the premiere and aims to meet continued audience demand.

Performances are scheduled for 10 Nov, 18 Nov (age 18+), 19 Nov (age 18+), 27 Nov (age 18+), 28 Nov (matinee at 13:00), 16 Dec and 29 Dec (age 18+).

The creative team includes writers Heikki Syrjä and Riku Suokas, director Riku Suokas, conductor Pekka Siistonen, choreographer Maria Broman and designers Marjaana Mutanen, Juha Haapasalo and Kyösti Kallio. Onstage cast includes Sami Hintsanen, Petra Karjalainen, Heidi Kiviharju and Jari Ahola, among others. The Alabama House Band is led by Pekka Siistonen with Louis So, Teemu Broman, Miika Perkiö and Vesa Hyrskykari.

Vuonna 85 has a long history in Finland: the original run became the country’s most-watched domestic musical with nearly 300,000 viewers between 2006 and 2012, and about 540,000 people have seen the various versions and related productions overall. The move is billed as a return of a beloved local cultural touchstone to TTT’s Main Stage.
