A heritage train will run two return trips between Tampere and Nokia on Saturday 5 September, calling at Tesoma, Tamperelainen reports.
Departures from Tampere are at 11:50 and 13:50.
Hauled by a 1960s Dv16 diesel locomotive, the train is formed of 1950s wooden-bodied passenger coaches. It offers a vintage travel experience rather than a regular commuter service.
Tickets are sold on board and, when possible, beside the train before departure.
The service is not wheelchair accessible. Large items such as strollers and bicycles can be carried free of charge in the train's baggage compartment.
This run follows temporary replacement bus services on the Nokia–Tampere line in May during track works replacement buses in May.
