AION launches UT hatchback in Finland from €28,900; Autolähde to run Tampere showroom
AION says the all-electric UT hatchback will arrive in Finland on 13 May 2026 with pre-sales open now; Autolähde will run a new Tampere showroom at Ihantie 4.
According to a press release from AION, the all-electric AION UT hatchback arrives in Finland on 13 May 2026, with pre-sales opening immediately and first deliveries due at dealerships later in the month. Prices start at €28,900 for the entry-level trim.
Aimed at European buyers, the UT was styled at GAC’s Advanced Design Centre in Milan’s Via Tortona and sits on a 2,750 mm wheelbase, promising unusually roomy interior space for the segment. Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and Level 2 driver-assistance systems.
The UT offers up to 430 km of range under WLTP. It can fast-charge from 30 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes and accelerates 0–100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
It will be sold in Finland in two trims — Premium from €28,900 and Luxury from €30,900 — with non-white paint an additional €700. A limited-time finance rate of 0.99 percent is being offered, and all models come with an eight-year factory warranty.
As with the AION V SUV, the UT will be built in Europe at Magna Steyr’s factory in Graz, Austria — a move the company says should shorten supply chains and improve responsiveness to local markets. AION is part of the international GAC Group and is emphasising its engineering and safety technology as it expands in Europe.
The brand is also expanding its Finnish sales and service network with a third showroom in Tampere. Autolähde Tampere will operate the new outlet at Ihantie 4.
"Expanding our sales and authorized service network outside the capital region is a key part of AION’s long-term growth strategy in Finland," said Niko Tillan, head of New Products Distribution at Inchcape in Finland. He noted Autolähde Tampere’s 16 years of experience in electric vehicle sales and servicing makes the company a natural partner for the brand’s next growth phase.
