Asko will open a new store in Tampere's Hakametsä on Friday, August 28 at 10 a.m., Tamperelainen reports.
The shop at Sammon valtatie 2 is the latest step in Asko's expansion across Pirkanmaa. The company already operates outlets in Ideapark Lempäälä and Lielahti, and the opening follows the chain's recent reopening of its renovated Ideapark store in Lempäälä. The Hakametsä location is part of plans to launch about 13 stores around Finland.
Opening-day attractions include an ice cream truck, coffee service and gift bags for the first 50 customers. Asko will also have a strong on-site sales presence, with representatives from manufacturers showcasing the new range.
"Our goal is ambitious. As we build a new nationwide Asko, we cannot do it half‑heartedly. That's why we have chosen the best partners in Finland. Where a domestic option is possible, we choose it," says Asko chain director Mika Rusila in a press release.
