Car Runs Off Pyhäjärventie Ramp, Briefly Disrupting Traffic to Pirkkala

A car ran off Pyhäjärventie in Tampere on Tuesday morning, according to Tamperelainen. Rescue and ambulance units were dispatched after an alarm came in shortly before 8 AM.

The vehicle left the road on the ramp from Helsinki toward Pirkkala. Emergency crews working at the scene caused minor delays.

One person inside the car was examined on site by ambulance personnel. Authorities had no immediate information about the cause of the accident or any injuries as of the morning.

The incident is the latest traffic disruption on Pyhäjärventie: earlier this week a rear-end collision near the Tampere Fair Centre briefly blocked a lane a rear-end collision and firefighters previously put out a woodchip-truck engine fire on a Pyhäjärventie ramp a truck fire.
