The incident site is between the Lakalaiva interchange and the Karkunvuoren tunnel in Lahdesjärvi, and police are directing traffic as vehicles are backing up. Finntraffic Tampere's operational duty manager Ilmari Laine says a second crane is on site to lift the fallen crane back onto the flatbed, and the road is fully closed during the transfer. The point where the crane fell is just before the tunnel, and authorities warn the operation could take some time; there is no estimate yet for when the road will reopen. Motorists are urged to follow police directions as this is a developing situation.
