An electrical fault on a tram pole at Koskipuisto caused smoke and halted tram traffic; Nysse says repairs are underway and tram delays are expected until about 11:30 on Saturday.
Pirkanmaa Rescue Department received an early-morning call about a popping sound and pale smoke at Koskipuisto. Crews found that an electrical component on a tram pole had failed; by the time they arrived the situation was already over, YLE reported.
Tampere Region public transport operator Nysse is repairing the fault. Its route planner shows tram delays until about 11:30 on Saturday.
