A natural gas pipeline ruptured during earthworks on Pikonlinnantie in Kangasala on Wednesday, Tamperelainen reported. The Pirkanmaa Rescue Department said it received an alarm about a medium-sized hazardous accident at about 10 a.m. on Thursday. Rescue teams and police have cordoned off the area and are conducting control and mitigation work. The department said it will provide more details later on Thursday.
