Gauffininkatu in Hatanpää to close to cars, become pedestrian and cycle path

Gauffininkatu in Hatanpää will be converted from a roadway and parking area into a pedestrian and cycle path, and car traffic and parking will no longer be permitted, the City of Tampere says. The change aims to clarify local travel routes and put the approved street plan for the area into effect. People who use the route, especially those travelling to Jukola daycare and Hatanpää Manor, are asked to heed on-site signage. Work may cause temporary disruption. The city apologises for any inconvenience. The contractor is Tampereen Infra Oy. The change comes amid ongoing street and tram renewal work in Hatanpää, including expanded tram track construction along Hatanpään valtatie tram track works, recent one-way and bus detour arrangements Hatanpää traffic changes and new traffic lights at the Hatanpää junction junction changes.
