Gogo opens a 24-seat reformer pilates studio in Hervanta
Gogo has opened a new 24-seat reformer pilates studio on Vaajakatu in Hervanta, bringing the globally rising trend to a roughly 300-square-metre space focused on coached, safe sessions.
Tamperelainen reports that the popularity of reformer pilates (often called machine pilates) has exploded locally and around the world, and Gogo naturally wants to bring the sport to Hervanta. Gogo, a family-founded fitness center in Tampere, opened a new 24-seat reformer pilates studio on Vaajakatu in Hervanta on Thursday. The roughly 300-square-metre space brings the globally rising trend to Hervanta.
Tamperelainen notes the studio prioritizes high-quality instruction and safety: professional instructors monitor each participant and provide side guidance when needed. Varpu Jänisniemi, Gogo's operations chief, says pilates enthusiasts often seek the method to counter desk-work strain or back issues, and while results vary, many notice a difference after the first session.
The studio’s program features four session types with varying emphases — from energetic strength training to mobility and control-focused work, with more intensive options for experienced practitioners.
