Group Committee clears €1.29m sale of Vilusen Rinne rental housing shares
Tampere’s Group Committee has approved the sale of shares in Vilusen Rinne Vuokra-asunnot Oy, paving the way for Tampereen Vuokra-asunnot Oy to take ownership. The agreed transfer price is €1,287,287.
The Group Committee approved the sale of shares in Vilusen Rinne Vuokra-asunnot Oy in Tampere and authorised minor final changes to the deed before signing. Varke confirmed a transfer price of €1,287,287 in September 2026, and Tampereen Vuokra-asunnot Oy is set to take ownership under the deed of sale.
The move follows an earlier review of ownership strategies for ten city-owned companies the committee's earlier work on ownership strategies.
The shares' book value on the city balance sheet is roughly €79,000. That translates into an expected capital gain of about €1.2 million from the transaction.
Under the sale terms Tampereen Vuokra-asunnot Oy must keep the property as rental housing for at least three years. It must also work to maintain high occupancy, tenant satisfaction and cooperation.
Matti Helimo, chair of the Group Committee, said the arrangement 'clarifies the ownership structure of the city’s rental housing stock and brings properties subject to state-subsidised housing restrictions under a single owner,' and added it will help keep residents' everyday life stable.
