Heinurinmäki plan separates skate plaza from pumptrack; updated design to be presented 22 October
An updated design that separates a single open skate plaza from the pumptrack will be presented and discussed at a public event on 22 October at Siluetti, Hatanpään valtatie 7.
Residents requested a single, open skate plaza separated from the pumptrack, the city says, and the updated design reflecting those ideas will be presented and discussed at a public event on 22 October at Siluetti, Hatanpään valtatie 7. The revisions reflect ideas gathered from local residents and riders in early June and follow the June workshop for local riders and residents.
The revised plan favours a plaza- and street-style concrete skatepark with rectangular, geometric obstacles and a layout intended for both beginners and more experienced users. Riders also asked for a unified pumptrack rather than a route-style circuit, and for practical amenities such as good lighting, a water point and toilets.
The event runs from 17:00 to 19:00. Maanlumo will present the updated draft at 17:10, followed by group ideation and a public discussion. Anyone interested in developing the Heinurinmäki area is invited to join. Current users and hobbyists are particularly encouraged to attend.
