Ilves-Hockey Oy posts €1.19m loss as turnover falls to €14.9m
Ilves reported Ilves-Hockey Oy's turnover fell to €14.9m for 1 May 2025–30 April 2026 and the company posted a €1.186m loss, blaming lower NHL compensation, weaker ticket sales and rising costs.
According to Ilves, Ilves-Hockey Oy's turnover for the fiscal year 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026 was €14.9 million, and the company recorded a €1.186 million loss, up from a €242,000 deficit the year before. The weaker result stemmed from a near €300,000 drop in NHL compensation, poorer profitability in supporter product sales, a clear decline in ticket revenue and rising costs. The Champions Hockey League reduced the bottom line by about €150,000 and Liiga's playoff revenue-sharing model trimmed results by roughly €400,000. Costs rose particularly in match events, staffing and sporting operations. Ticket income slumped.
Management said improving profitability will require ongoing cost reviews and stronger commercial and match-day revenue development.
Sporting highlights included the U20 team's Finnish Championship silver, and the Liiga side recovered from a slow start to finish fourth and end the regular season as the best home team. Corporate sales saw modest growth, and the group, which includes Ilves Edustus Oy and Ilves Stadion Oy, reported consolidated turnover of €20.9 million and a €1.122 million loss; Ilves Edustus Oy will publish its own detailed statement separately. The club is pursuing commercial measures to bolster income, including season-ticket sales following publication of its 2026–27 Liiga schedule published its 2026–27 schedule and plans for a unified ILVES+ streaming service the planned ILVES+ service.
