Italian synthwave and metal bands move Tampere concert from Olympia to Fame in Finlayson
Three Italian bands scheduled for Tampere on 28 November have moved their show from the Olympia restaurant to Fame in Finlayson following Olympia's closure amid financial difficulties.
Master Boot Record, Fulci and Arottenbit will now play Fame in the Finlayson area on Saturday, 28 November, after the Olympia restaurant closed at the end of September amid financial difficulties, Aamulehti reports.
The show will be held at Fame in the Media 54 building on Satakunnankatu 18, a space that previously housed the Rodeo nightclub and Supper Club. Olympia-ravintolat Ltd faces bankruptcy claims from the Finnish Tax Administration and the pension insurer Ilmarinen. Organisers say other scheduled shows may also be moved while the situation is resolved.
Master Boot Record, formed in 2016, blends metal, electronic music, synthwave and chiptune. The band is known for live shows that use four-decade-old video game graphics and glowing tube televisions. Fulci draws on horror cinema and takes its name from director Lucio Fulci. Arottenbit mixes heavy sound with 8-bit textures and rhythms that reach up to 240 beats per minute. Tickets are available from Lippupiste. The bands play Helsinki's Tavastia the following night.
