Tullikamari to Reopen in November as Tampere Venues Announce Fall Programme for Nearly 90 Acts

Tullikamari and Tavara-asema in Tampere unveiled a fall concert programme featuring nearly 90 artists, Tamperelainen reported.

The reopening follows extensive renovation work completed earlier this year, including a nearly €14 million refit and building upgrades detailed in the September refit report. Plans to have the venue ready for the Tampere Jazz Happening were first announced in the April schedule update.

The two historic venues are sharing a packed schedule, from pop and rap standouts to heavy metal and nostalgic dance nights. Programme manager Janne Laurila says Tampere has missed Tullikamari. Both houses will ramp up to full capacity after the final renovations. An initial glimpse of the renewed Tullikamari will arrive at Tampere Jazz Happening on 29 October. Highlights include Cledos, Bämö, Erika Vikman, Olavi Uusivirta and Maija Vilkkumaa, plus anniversary shows and international guests such as Blues Pills and Graveyard (SWE).

Operational changes are planned as well. Several club nights will move from Tavara-asema to the Klub at Tullikamari from November, while Tavara-asema will keep daytime orchestra parties, the Second Hand flea-market concept and established club brands like K40-disco and Sokka Irti. Heavy acts booked for the season include Dead By April, Amaranthe and Hardcore Superstar at Tavara-asema. Stam1na and other Finnish rock icons will appear across the venues as the programme builds toward the peak of the Christmas party season.
