Johanna Tohn brings midlife stand-up Viidenkympin villitys to TTT-Klubi in October

Johanna Tohn's Viidenkympin villitys will premiere on 1 October at TTT-Klubi and runs for ten performances across the autumn season.

The show examines the pressures and expectations around turning 50, asking whether a midlife urge means buying a sports car, taking up an extreme hobby or finding a new partner. It tackles everyday realities such as adult children, menopause and work stress, aiming for comic truths about midlife crises rather than glossy solutions. No tidy answers.

Tohn has performed stand-up since 2012; her previous solo show Huonosti käyttäytyvät äidit was a notable success, and regular TTT-Klubi audiences will remember her from years-long appearances in the Mars vs. Venus? duo. Viidenkympin villitys is part of an effort to broaden the clubstage with established comedians, and a new 60-seat lounge stage is due to open in November at the former Kulttuuriravintola Kivi.

Nordic Noir, a dark comedy that premiered on the mainstage on 17 September, will play six times at the club during October. Live music opens with a rare pairing of joik and electronics when Wimme Saari and Tapani Rinne perform on 2 October.

Highlights also include solo stand-up nights from Eeva Vekki (9 October) and Tommi Ylimäinen (16 October), pop appearances by Jesse Kaikuranta (10 October) and Laura Närhi (17 October), and a sold-out Rane Raitsikka & Tokela show on 16 October. Halloween week features a Monsterit special on 29 October with Ali Jahangiri, Heli Sutela and Fabe.
