Kulttuurikehä grants available to enliven Tampere's western city centre until 31 October 2027

Applications for Kulttuurikehä one-off funding are open until 31 October 2027. The grants will support events and projects designed to enliven the Kulttuurikehä area in the western city centre as part of an incubator programme funded by the Pirkanmaa Regional Council.

The initiative supports two incubators. One is a digital incubator linking digital development with physical space; the other focuses on revitalising the western city centre. The city has set aside €15,000 for the fund. Maximum per project: €3,000. Eligible applicants include associations, public-benefit organisations, working groups, independent producers and artists. Funding cannot be used for commercial company activities.

Applications are accepted until 31 October 2027. The city has extended the usual autumn round to allow submissions later in 2026. Grant requests should be filed at least 14 days before an event, though about two months' notice is preferred. Put "Kulttuurikehä" in the form's "Other possible information" field so the request is routed to the western city centre allocation. Paid grants are released after the event upon receipt of the usage report, which must be submitted within two months. Processing meetings run from 22 October 2026 through 10 June 2027.

Kulttuurikehä funding is a small, separate pot that complements the city's larger autumn cultural grant rounds including two €50,000 cultural development grants opened on 16 September and the general community grants that opened in mid‑September for 2027 projects.
