Kuninkuusravit boosts Teivo: €714,000 profit and over 51,000 attendees

Kuninkuusravit at Teivo racecourse last summer generated a preliminary profit of €714,000 and attracted more than 51,000 spectators across three days, Aamulehti reports. Organisers estimated the event delivered about €10.5 million in regional economic impact, a figure calculated from visitor spending.

The racecourse credited strong ticket sales and successful partnerships for the unexpectedly high turnout. Attendance exceeded expectations.

The result comes as the racecourse prepares for necessary changes and investments. Jukka Heiskala, chair of Tampereen Ravirata oy, said the success gives organisers a solid starting point to implement those plans and to strengthen Teivo as a race organiser and event centre.

It follows tensions at Teivo over scheduling and stable allocations tensions ahead of Kuninkuusravit and forecasts that it would draw up to 50,000 spectators expectations of around 50,000 visitors.
