Line 16 regains stops at Irjala Square and Irjala School, but detour via Jaakonmäenkatu stays in place

Line 16 will return to stops at Irjala Square and Irjala School in Tampere. Buses will continue to follow a temporary detour via Jaakonmäenkatu while roadworks on Ali‑Huikkaantie continue; completion is currently estimated around late November to early December. This reverses part of the diversion that had removed stops on Irjalankatu and Ali‑Huikkaantie the earlier detour announcement.

The Huhmarinkatu section has been removed from the route, so stops Huhmarinkatu 9943/9944 and Huhmarinrinne 9945/9946 are out of service. Line 16 will instead run along Irjalankatu. Outbound, from Takahuhti to the Kauppi campus, the route follows Kourutaltankatu – Kirjavaisenkatu – Irjalankatu – Kuusimäenrinne – Jaakonmäenkatu – Teiskontie – Lääkärintie. The return trip follows the reverse sequence.

Several Ali‑Huikkaantie stops remain closed while works proceed: Ylihuikkaantie 5153/5154, Laalahdenkatu 5151/5152 and Lautasenkatu 5155/5156. The Lautasenkatu stop Kuusimäenrinne 5137 is also out of service for the time being.

Nysse says up-to-date timetables are available in its route planner and that the timetable service will be updated on the day the change takes effect. Physical timetable posters and the printable PDF will be revised only when Line 16 returns to its normal route, so passengers should check the route planner before travelling.
