Linkosuo opens company-wide restructuring talks; up to eight jobs at risk
Linkosuo has opened group-wide restructuring negotiations covering 83 employees and warned that up to eight positions may be cut, the company says.
Linkosuo has opened restructuring negotiations across the group, covering 83 employees and warning that up to eight jobs may be cut, YLE reports.
Those covered include salaried staff from all Linkosuo companies as well as bakery production, logistics and maintenance workers. Café and restaurant staff are not included.
The consultations aim to improve efficiency and strengthen competitiveness, the company says.
Linkosuo consists of three firms. It employs about 200 people in total: parent company Linkosuo Oy, Linkosuon Leipomo Oy and Linkosuon Kahvila Oy.
Its bakery, patisserie, factory shop and the production kitchen for café operations are in Kangasala, while the cafés and lunch restaurants mainly serve the Tampere area.
Linkosuo cites prolonged rises in raw material, packaging and energy costs as the background to the measures.
The move follows recent restructuring notices affecting workplaces in the Tampere region, such as Framery's restructuring talks in Tampere and Särkänniemi's earlier negotiations at the Näsinneula tower.
