Särkänniemi opens talks for three Näsinneula restaurants, up to 14 jobs at risk

Särkänniemi has launched restructuring negotiations for three restaurants at the Näsinneula tower in Tampere, starting Friday, 2 October; up to 14 employees could be affected. The talks cover Ravintola Näsinneula, Neula Sky Cafe and Ravintola Ilo, and were first reported by Aamulehti. CEO Mikko Hautasaari told YLE by email that the company cannot yet say whether measures will include layoffs, and that the precise scope will become clearer as the process proceeds. He said the aim is to adapt and reorganise operations to a changed, more cyclical market and to protect future competitiveness. The company opened these negotiations after wider talks last year, which left it with a loss of more than one million euros. Näsinneula was not part of those earlier talks, and Särkänniemi expects this year’s results to be better, following its recent forecast of a return to profit after last year's loss.
