Major tree felling begins on Hatanpään Park Lane, Tampere

Tampere's Hatanpään Park Lane street renewal kicked off last week with the felling of about 70 birches, with replacement trees planned for spring 2027.

Last week, Tampere launched the Hatanpään Park Lane street renewal, felling around 70 birches as part of the project, Aamulehti writes. The work continues, and new trees will be planted in spring 2027 to replace those removed for the renovation.
