Marko Annala brings Alter Annala's alternative edge to Olympia-kortteli

"Marko Annala could read even a phone book and make it sound interesting," wrote Ville Lainetta after Annala brought his solo project Alter Annala to a recent show at Olympia-kortteli in Tampere. The performance divided some listeners but impressed the reviewer.

In a review illustrated with photographs, Lainetta said Annala steered the audience into alternative music, keeping the evening compelling through sheer presence and personality. The solo project has puzzled some fans, but the set made a clear case for why the experiment deserves attention.

Earlier this month the same venue hosted Kiuas for a sauna-themed set the Kiuas Olympia show.
