Near-daily Summer Park Concerts head to Nekala and Suolijärvi lodge in Hervanta
Tampere is expanding its free Summer Park Concerts to the Nekala Cultural Centre and the Suolijärvi outdoor lodge in Hervanta, with near-daily performances from June to August and free entry.
The City of Tampere says this summer Tampere is expanding its free Summer Park Concerts to two new venues – the Nekala Cultural Centre and the Suolijärvi outdoor lodge in Hervanta – with performances running almost daily from June to August. Shows at Nekala will be staged on the terrace of Restaurant Nekalab and moved indoors if it rains. The Suolijärvi lodge offers a lakeside setting where visitors can swim or walk a nature trail before or after performances. The programme aims to cover a wide range of tastes, from light acoustic sets to heavier bands and from local newcomers to seasoned acts. Laikunlava will host two special events in June: a Manse Pride week concert on Tuesday 9 June and a folk dance evening on Wednesday 10 June in collaboration with the Pispala Schottische International Folklore Festival. All concerts are free and open to the public.
