Orivesi municipal vets relocate to Kangasala shared clinic

Orivesi's municipal reception served clients until the end of September 2026, after which services moved to a shared clinic in Kangasala. The transfer had been signalled earlier in the year when the city said the transfer would follow renovation delays.

Orivesi's municipal veterinarian will continue treating local clients at the Kangasala reception. The move follows a new veterinary care law and a reorganisation of services within the Tampere environmental health area.

Municipal veterinarian receptions are now in Kangasala, Valkeakoski and Urjala, staffed by six practising veterinarians in total. The Tampere regional environmental health area covers Tampere, Orivesi, Juupajoki, Kangasala, Pälkäne, Valkeakoski, Akaa and Urjala.
