Orivesi veterinary services move to Kangasala clinic in September after renovation delays
Orivesi’s municipal veterinary clinic will stay open through August; from September veterinary services for Orivesi will be provided at a shared clinic in Kangasala after renovation delays.
City of Tampere says Orivesi’s municipal veterinary clinic will remain open through the end of August. From September, veterinary services for Orivesi will transfer to a shared clinic in Kangasala after renovation work there delayed an earlier plan to close the Orivesi clinic in June 2026.
From September the Tampere environmental health area will operate three municipal veterinary clinics — in Kangasala, Valkeakoski and Urjala — supported by six private-practice veterinarians working at those sites.
The regional environmental health area covers Tampere, Orivesi, Juupajoki, Pälkäne, Kangasala, Valkeakoski, Akaa and Urjala. Residents of those municipalities will use the reorganised service network once the transfer is complete.
