Overnight Fire Guts More Than 1,000-Square-Metre Industrial Building in Ylöjärvi

A fire tore through a more than 1,000-square-metre industrial building on Kulkutie in Ylöjärvi overnight, according to Tamperelainen. Staff discovered the blaze only after it had spread into the roof void and wall structures. Rescue department units extinguished the main fire and brought the roof blaze under control. Crews will need to dismantle sections of the roof and wall to find and put out remaining hot spots and to complete the overhaul. About 20 rescue units worked at the scene, and no injuries were reported. Investigators will examine the cause once conditions stabilise. The blaze recalls a February hall fire in Mänttä‑Vilppula that also drew dozens of firefighting units.
