Tampere University dismissed a researcher in September, and the Pirkanmaa District Court remanded him last Friday in a suspected aggravated data breach case.
Tampere University dismissed the researcher earlier in September, and the Pirkanmaa District Court remanded the man last Friday, YLE reported.
A written dismissal decision obtained by STT through a data request says the researcher had seriously and repeatedly violated the university's IT usage rules and caused a serious loss of trust. Some parts of the explanation for that loss of trust have been redacted from the published decision.
