Sarkanniemi in Tampere unveils a new 27-meter Konect roller coaster set to open in May, Aamulehti writes. The ride is the park’s biggest investment of the decade, with construction beginning on January 12 and parts expected on site by the end of February. The summer season begins on May 1.
The Konect coaster features a single train with ten cars and room for 20 riders, reaches 68 kilometers per hour, and stands about 27 meters tall. There are no inversions, and height requirements are 100 centimeters with a supervising adult and 120 centimeters without an accompanying adult.
The park also confirms a new hamburger restaurant will be added and releases detailed ticket pricing for online and gate purchases, including park-entry wristbands and access to Näsinneula tower, aquarium, planetarium, and Koiramaki Zoo. The park told Aamulehti on Wednesday that it will also release a 9.90-euro park-area ticket and a 28-euro ticket offering broader access.
