Ståhlberg names Eero Aho as CEO and opens 10th Tampere spot

Aamulehti reports that Ståhlberg Yhtiöt has appointed Eero Aho as its new CEO, taking over from his current role at Ikaalinen Spa & Resort as he also becomes a company shareholder. Aho is set to start in October, and Ståhlberg will open its 10th lunch restaurant after Easter on Wednesday in Tampere’s Kolmenkulma.

The new unit is the company’s tenth Ståhlberg lunch restaurant, which will open following Easter week in Kolmenkulma. Aho is moving to the CEO position after continuing through a transition period at Ikaalinen Spa & Resort across the summer, while the spa business will carry on as normal and the search for a new CEO at the spa is expected to begin immediately.

Ståhlberg Yhtiöt operates lunch and café businesses in Pirkanmaa and nearby areas. The group’s revenue was over 10 million euros in the last financial year, and it opened three new units during the previous year, with a similar number planned for this year. According to board member Jani Mettinen, the company has a strong foundation and sees the current moment as the right time to move to the next phase, noting that despite a challenging market situation, it has managed to generate strong demand for its healthy home-style food concept, particularly its varied salad and buffet selections.
