Suomen Kädentaidot, Europe’s largest handicrafts and applied arts fair, will bring more than 46,000 visitors and 750 exhibitors to the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre from 13 to 15 November, Tamperelainen reports. This year marks the fair’s 30th anniversary. The theme, "traditions and traditional skills", highlights how craft knowledge is passed from one generation to the next. The programme features live demonstrations and hands-on workshops where visitors can try techniques and refine existing skills. Organisers have scheduled panel discussions, talks, Meet & Greet sessions, competitions and fashion shows that examine current topics in handicrafts and Finnish design. The event offers both shopping and learning opportunities for craft enthusiasts. The fair joins a busy exhibition calendar in Tampere, following events such as Alihankinta 2026 and the Designtori design market.
