Tampere asks court to dismiss appeal over €6.82m Lapinniemi plot sale
Tampere has asked the Hämeenlinna Administrative Court to dismiss an appeal claiming the city undersold a Lapinniemi apartment plot sold to Suomen Osatontti IV Ky for €6.82 million.
According to Tamperelainen, Tampere has defended its sale of a Lapinniemi apartment plot to Suomen Osatontti IV Ky for €6,820,600. The city board submitted a statement to the Hämeenlinna Administrative Court after an appeal sought to overturn the city council’s 18 May 2026 decision.
The appeal alleges the sale was underpriced, discriminatory and carried out without proper competitive tendering or checks on the buyer’s background and ability to complete the deal.
In its court statement the board says the transfer followed a competitive tender, the price reflected market value and the council acted lawfully. It asked the court to dismiss the appeal. The buyer, Suomen Osatontti, is a residential property fund founded in 2008 by Suomen Hypoteekkiyhdistys that invests in housing plots in growth centres.
