Tampere charity Tamperemissio seeks new director after Helin departs

Tamperemissio has launched a search for a new organisation director in Pirkanmaa after current director Matti Helin announced he is leaving to pursue new challenges, Tamperelainen reports. The search is under way.

The new director will oversee the charity's civic activities, volunteer programmes and public advocacy. Arja Laitinen, Tamperemissio's operations director, says the sector faces unusually large change and uncertainty and that the appointment should strengthen community work and help develop new operating models. The post involves leading a team of more than 20 specialists and coordinating hundreds of volunteers who support young people, families, older residents and people with developmental disabilities.
