August was the system's best month, with more than 50,000 trips, and the season has recorded over 240,000 rides so far this year, Tamperelainen reported. Mika Periviita, head of public transport, said the milestone shows the bikes are a key part of Tampere's sustainable mobility strategy, complementing public transport and providing an easy option for short journeys.
