Tampere expands city-bike network with 60 new stations in city centre and Kaleva

According to the City of Tampere, about 60 new stations will be added across the city centre and Kaleva when Tampere's city bike season opens on 15 April 2026. Access rights go on sale in the Tampere city bikes app from 10 April.

Installation will be light, often next to existing bicycle parking. That means shared bikes may sit among regular bicycles and some locations will carry only small information signs.

Stations will appear in the Tampere city bikes app and the Nysse journey planner. Denser coverage should make short everyday trips easier; availability between stations will be monitored and adjusted.

Pricing and access models remain unchanged: a full season pass to 31 October costs €30, a 30‑day pass €10, a 24‑hour pass €5 and single rides €2. Companies can buy group access, and the employer city bike benefit can be used tax‑free with Epassi.
