Tampere opens applications on 14 April 2026 for 200 summer entrepreneurship vouchers worth €350 each for residents born 2005–2011; applications run until 15 May 2026.
The City of Tampere says applications open on 14 April 2026 for 200 summer entrepreneurship vouchers worth €350 each; applications will be accepted until 15 May. Eligible applicants are city residents born between 2005 and 2011.
Applications are submitted online via the city’s Summer Job site under the “Own summer job as an entrepreneur” section, and will be processed during the application period while vouchers last.
Recipients must attend a start training session (offered on 22 April and 4 May) and take part in a mandatory summer kick-off on 2 June.
The scheme is part of the "Own summer job as an entrepreneur" campaign (Oma kesäduuni yrittäjänä) and runs with local partners including Pirkanmaan Uusyrityskeskus, Ensimetri and Tampere 4H; partners are already taking registrations for workshops and coaching.
Service director Elina Wallin of the city’s employment and growth services said the summer job situation for young people is challenging, and the vouchers are one way to respond. Coordinator Nea Systä said summer entrepreneurship can act as a springboard, helping young people test ideas, learn customer skills and consider longer-term study or business paths in a safe, supportive setting.
