The Tampere Police Museum had its busiest month ever in July, attracting 9,912 visitors.

The Tampere Police Museum recorded its busiest month ever in July, with 9,912 visitors, according to Aamulehti.

Director Lauri Haavisto called the milestone a welcome surprise. He said visitor satisfaction matters as much as raw numbers, and most feedback has been positive. Located in Hervanta, the museum sees dramatic increases during June, July and August. Many families return multiple times and special exhibitions bring in new audiences.

Children particularly enjoy the Pokela section and climbing into the police car exhibit. Adults are drawn to historical vehicles, the weapons collection and the Art Crime Cases exhibition. Sunday openings during the summer received favorable feedback. The museum will evaluate the trial when deciding whether to continue it this autumn. The season will include popular drama-guided tours and free public tours during the autumn school holiday week.

The record comes amid a wider summer museum boom in Pirkanmaa: earlier coverage noted Anish Kapoor’s exhibition drew about 45,000 visitors to Serlachius in July, boosting regional museum attendance last month's surge in museum visits.
