Tamperelainen reports that Tampere's Museum Night returns on Saturday 16 May, offering access to 25 venues and more than 100 programmes with a single wristband. Organisers say the wristband grants entry from 18:00 to 24:00 and that the event will include over 40 exhibitions across the city, with Museum Centre Vapriikki hosting 11 shows such as Football World Cups through the Ages.
Highlights include Tampere Art Museum’s Encore! programme of classics and contemporary pieces; the Kalle Kaihari presentation at Workers' Museum Werstas; and the Sara Hildén Art Museum’s Vastamaalattua exhibition. Family-friendly options include clown-led tours, face painting, Moomin Museum children's tours and craft workshops at Tallipiha.
Circo Aereo will perform at Sara Hildén, and there will be samba processions, swing lessons, retro gaming, quizzes and dramatic guided tours.
Museum Night buses will run to help visitors move between sites. Wristbands cost €18 (€17 with a Museum Card); children under seven attend free.
