Tampere Raises City Centre Parking to €3.70, Resident Permits to €35
From January 2027 Tampere will raise on-street parking to €3.70 an hour in the central zone and €2.40 in zone 2; resident parking permits will rise to €35 a month.
From January 2027 on-street parking rates in Tampere will rise to €3.70 an hour in the central zone and €2.40 in zone 2, the City of Tampere said. Amuri and Kaakinmaa will move from zone 3 into zone 2, raising their hourly fee from €1.40 to €2.40. The changes are expected to generate about €800,000 in extra annual revenue; on-street parking currently brings in roughly €5.45–6.26 million a year and has not grown significantly despite earlier increases.
The Community Committee approved the measures at its meeting on 3 November 2026, and adjusted the maximum continuous parking time in zone 2 to ten hours, up from the current four hours and an earlier proposal of eight, to ease long-stay parking in those neighbourhoods. Resident parking permits will rise to €35 a month from January 2027. It follows an October proposal to reclassify Amuri and Kaakinmaa and raise about €800,000 a year.
