Tampere sells 2.5-hectare Leinola site to BRAND for two-phase commercial and logistics hub
The City of Tampere has sold a roughly 2.5-hectare plot in Leinola to developer BRAND toimitilat Oy, which plans a two-phase commercial and logistics complex on the site.
The City of Tampere has sold a roughly 2.5-hectare plot at Pukinekatu 4 in the Leinola district for about €1 million. Developer BRAND toimitilat Oy will build a two-phase, multi-use commercial and logistics complex on the site.
Zoned for commercial, office, production and storage use, the site will be developed in two phases to allow customization for tenant needs during construction. The first phase will deliver about 3,400 square metres of floor space plus a 1,200-square-metre canopy building; those spaces are already fully leased and agreements have been signed. A later second phase would add roughly 2,000 square metres.
"Pirkanmaa has been our home field for more than a decade. The new Leinola project continues the long-term work we've done in commercial property construction across the country. We will bring local companies the expertise gathered from our previous projects," said Juuso Piironen, sales director at BRAND toimitilat Oy.
The developer described the plot’s location as logistically central for firms needing production and logistics capacity. The scheme is intended to strengthen business activity on Tampere’s eastern side and responds to growing regional demand for modern industrial and warehouse space in Pirkanmaa.
The two-stage approach will let future tenants influence final layouts and technical specifications during the build, the developer added. It will focus on efficient, responsible delivery so occupiers can concentrate on their own operations while construction proceeds.
