Tampere student couple wins 1,136-square-metre lakeside plot in Mouhijärvi
A Tampere student couple won a 1,136 m² lakeside detached-house plot in Mätikönranta, Mouhijärvi, after Sastamala held a public draw at the Lempäälä Housing Fair on 24 August.
Tampere students Aaro Heimos and Inka Rautio have won a 1,136-square-metre detached house plot at Mätikönranta in Mouhijärvi after Sastamala held a public draw at the Lempäälä Housing Fair on August 24, Aamulehti reports.
Both study at Tampere University, and the prize came as a pleasant surprise. Heimos told the city in a press release that he had never won anything similar before. The couple have visited Sastamala before for hiking. They now plan to build their own home on the lot.
The plot permits a 250-square-metre residential building and a 50-square-metre utility building. About 3,300 entry tickets were submitted at Sastamala’s fair stand between July 10 and August 9; the draw took place on August 24.
