Tampere Supports Kyiv With 30,000 Euros

Tampere approves 30,000 euros in aid to Kyiv, with 20,000 for energy equipment and 10,000 for hygiene and hospital supplies, Tamperelainen reports.
City officials say the aid continues Tampere's long-running support for Ukraine amid the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's invasion. Tamperelainen notes that Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities have appealed for international aid.
In addition to the city, Tampereen Energia, Tampereen Energia Sähköverkko, Tammenlehväsäätiö and TuomiLogistiikka will contribute to the donation. The sister-city partnership with Kyiv began in 1954.
