A panel including representatives from Nysse and marketing company i2 chose “plusbus” for its clarity, playfulness and ease of translation. It signals a service that offers a bit more than a basic bus without promising full “superbus” features like dedicated lanes. The concept borrows tram practices: electric vehicles running frequently, boarding through all doors and a smooth end-to-end passenger experience. Organisers even suggested passengers might one day hear, “there comes the plus,” at stops.
