Tampere's adult education centre launches young-adults theatre group, rehearsals start 25 September

Rehearsals for a new young-adults theatre group, open to people aged 16 and over, begin at Sampola auditorium on Friday 25 September 2026. The initiative comes from the Tampere Regional Adult Education Centre.

The group is aimed at participants who already have some theatre experience rather than complete beginners, Marjo Rautiola, the centre’s theatre training planner, says, but enthusiasm for making theatre is the most important qualification. Rehearsals, led by director and performance coach Disa Kamula, take place Fridays 19:00–20:30, with ten sessions in the autumn and 11 in the spring. The season will end with a student-chosen performance. The ensemble currently has no official name. The course will be confirmed on 18 September 2026, so interested applicants should sign up promptly via the course listing’s contact details.

The course is part of the centre’s large autumn programme. The autumn term opened with over 960 courses and about 14,400 students enrolled in late August.
