Tunteella!, an exhibition of photographs by members of Tampereen Valokuvausseura, opens in the Kupla meeting space at Museokeskus Vapriikki on 21 August 2026 and runs until 10 January 2027.
The show gathers images that treat emotion as a form of communication. Gestures, looks, light and atmosphere are presented as messages that can speak where words fall short. The club’s works are arranged to prompt viewers to pause and consider what a picture says and what it stirs in them.
"Sometimes the most meaningful messages are not heard or read, but seen. A photograph can convey mood and experience immediately, yet each viewer interprets it from their own perspective," said Suvi Jalli, exhibition manager at the Post Museum, describing the exhibition’s aim to examine photography as a medium of interpersonal expression.
Tunteella! is installed in Kupla on the museum’s second floor and sits alongside other shows exploring communication, play, postal history and digital life. Admission is included with a Vapriikki entry ticket and the national Museum Card. The museum offers free entry on Fridays from 15:00 to 18:00.
Tampereen Valokuvausseura brings together nearly 400 local photography enthusiasts. Its mission is to develop members’ skills and provide opportunities for meeting and collaborative projects, and this exhibition showcases that community practice.
The show is part of Vapriikki’s programme for the year. Earlier offerings included a hands-on show tracing communication from letters to the digital era Postia ja bittejä and a large photography exhibition re-creating Tampere’s early 1900s streets and homes Vapriikki’s early‑1900s photo show.
