Kotimatkalla invites visitors to find light within darkness at Galleria Vivi in Tampere, featuring new works by Helmi Salminen alongside photography and video by jasmi.elsan.
Salminen’s new acrylic, coloured-pencil and poem-based works, made between 2024 and 2026, imagine small, hidden safe spaces that lead the viewer toward light. Her pieces draw attention to tiny details that hold surprising magic. Jasmi.elsan contributes light-focused photography and video, reflecting a practice centred on visual expression.
The exhibition continues Galleria Vivi’s autumn programme after the late‑August 'An Odyssey to the Stars' show. Run by Tampere’s youth services, the gallery offers 9–29‑year‑olds a place to exhibit their art. The space is on the first floor of Monitoimitalo 13 at Pellavatehtaankatu 4; admission is free and it is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 20:00.
